Here I will explain to you some Kpop terms so you can understand your favourite group more!

Bias
Bias

Your favourite idol or amember of a group

Ultimate Bias
Ultimate Bias

The king or queen of your bias list

Bias wrecker
Bias wrecker

One idol or member of a group who makes you question your love for your Bias

Leader
Leader

Person who is probably the eldest or most experienced member, speaks for the group

Example: Hongjoong is the leader of ATEEZ

Aegyo
Aegyo

Acting really cute using a cute/baby voice, facial expressions or gestures

Fan Service
Fan Service

An act carried out by idols or actors to please/entertain the audience, even though not actually relevant to their performance

Sunbae
Sunbae

A sunbae is a senior with more experience within the industry

Hyung
Hyung

Honorific used by younger males to address an older male

Example: Seonghwa is the hyung of ATEEZ

Unnie
Unnie

Honorific used by females to refer to older females

Maknae
Maknae

The youngest member of a group

Example: Jongho is the maknae of ATEEZ

Fighting!
Fighting!

A phrase meaning "You can do it!"

Sasaeng
Sasaeng

An overly obsessive fan that are known for their intense and questionable behaviour. 

Sasaeng’s have been known to stalk or otherwise invade the privacy of their idols

Ships
Ships

(relationship) refers to the act of fans, when “putting” two idols “together” as a couple

Example: WooSan = Wooyoung & San

Oppa
Oppa

Honorific used by females to address an older male

Visual
Visual

Person who is considered to be the prettiest/most attractive member of a group

Example: Yeosang, Seonghwa & Wooyoung are the Visuals of ATEEZ

Trainee
Trainee

A person who is training at an entertainment agency who dreams to debut as an idol. When training, they train for hours on their singing, rapping, dance, language etc.

Daebak
Daebak

Meaning "awesome" or "amazing"

Selca
Selca

A selfie

Rookie
Rookie

Newcomer group, a group who recently debuted

Noona
Noona

Honorific used only by males addressing an older female

OST
OST

Stands for Original Soundtrack usually used for the soundtrack of Kdramas.

Daesang
Daesang

A Daesang award is one of the highest achievements a group or artist can achieve. Winning a Daesang focuses on the records released by artists that year and how many copies they sold

Bonsang
Bonsang

A Bonsang award is a award for outstanding music achievements

OT
OT

“OT” stands for One True. When people talk about ATEEZ they would say OT8, they're talking about the original number of members in the group

Comeback
Comeback

When an idol or group comes back in the Kpop scene with a new single or album

Lightstick
Lightstick

Some of the more popular groups have personalised light sticks for use at concerts

Fanchant
Fanchant

A chant alongside the song used by fans to cheer during live performances. They consist of part of the lyrics, names, phrases etc.

Fandom
Fandom

K-pop groups have a dedicated fandom with a name and sometimes an assigned colour

Example: ATINY

All-Kill
All-Kill

​​When a k-pop song tops all the major music charts at the same time

Big 3
Big 3

Refers to the three most important and influential entertainment companies of Kpop, YG Entertainment, JYP Entertainment and SM Entertainment.
